Lake Winnipesaukee's Hometown Flight School

We are proud to have the privilege that is sharing our passion of aviation. Emerson Aviation is the longest running flight school that serves not only Laconia, but all of Lake Winnipesaukee and New Hampshire's Lakes Region. We are proud to have the longest history of creating successful pilots and aviators compared to every other flight school in New Hampshire.

Flight instruction is in our DNA. Our President, Dave Emerson, was taught to fly by his father, and continues to teach current and future generations how to safely enjoy the sky. Passing down the gift of flight is in our blood. We could not be prouder to continue to teach current and future generations how to safely enjoy the skies.

Choosing a flight school is a tough process - as is learning to fly. At Emerson Aviation, we consider it a privilege to teach our friends, family, and community the skills it takes to be an aviator and strive to demonstrate the respect that aviation demands. We are thankful everyday for the privilege to spread the joy of flight.

How Do I Become a Pilot? What's the First Step?

The first step in every pilot's journey is an Intro Flight.

The Intro Flight is a 20 minute flight to get you oriented at the controls and explore how you feel in the sky. This is your chance to get a taste of the flight by flying with a Certified Flight Instructor who will make sure you feel safe and comfortable in the flight deck. Our Intro Flight lesson will give you hands on experience as you take control of an airplane for the first time!

Where Do Our Students Go?

While many of our students choose to fly for pleasure as hobbyist pilots, some turn their aviator skills into a profession. We are proud of our student's accomplishments and are excited to send our pilots to airlines, private charter companies, and businesses around the world.
